Doorbell motion not working until I view the camera once a day

Do these doorbells go into deep sleep? Today I got up, left the house twice and motion was never detected or recorded. The blue light never came on once. Motion didn’t start working until I viewed the camera’s live feed. When I left the house again, motion was detected twice, blue light came on and worked as expected. Is this a power issue? It works throughout the day once viewing the camera once.

I eagerly await Eufy staff not responding to this question. At least they announce special offers to this “security app”, am I right?

I have the same issue has any fix been issued. I only just brought the doorbell and am thinking of taking it back.
