This is taking ages and was promised a year ago. Think I’m going to have to sell my eufy products and go with a company more reliable. Shame really as I really wanted eufy to work for us

Was about the purchase a doorbell and connect it to my google speaker. After reading this topic, i decided not to.
Also over here it shows Google assistant compatible in the website of the Coolblue, which apparently it isn’t. And no response from Eufy for more than a year
Sorry Eufy lost 1 customer in the Netherlands.
Such a shame. It is a really basic thing, but super useful to have with Google home

Presume it’s a Google issue and them protecting the Nest Doorbell. As after all it’s significantly more expensive for less of a device then the eufy. Don’t forgot the competition also make you have a subscription, which is more money in there pockets.
I do believe negotiation and licensing with Google is paramount to resolve this issue which will in turn increase sales for Eufy as it’s products are very good and affordable. Could easily overtake all competition if this feature was added.

I just purchased a Eufy doorbell, what’s more disappointing is the fact I checked with Eufy customer support on Friday and they said it did. Returning tomorrow!
Can Eufy please remove the phrade Compatible with Google…

Full agree. I live on the first floor and normally I had a phone to tell someone at the door that I’m coming. Now there is no easy way to do this. Even using a phone is quite slow.
In the same boat as everyone else with this. I bought the doorbell based on the “compatible with Google Assistant” advertising. Only to now find out it doesn’t ring the chime on the a google home mini. Very disappointed.

Just bought this today on recommendation from so many YouTube videos.
What a farce! I don’t care to view the video feed (which really doesn’t work either… actually I do care, it would be lovely to see the cam on button press!) BUT at least chime on my Google Homes which is why I bought it!
Chime is available on Google Home now, but it’s not coded. I’ll be returning this tomorrow. Thank God Costco have a great returns service!
The Athom Homey suggestion sounds awesome and I think it’s necessary tbh since smarthome device lock in is getting ridiculous, but I didn’t look to invest several hundred pounds to get this simple thing working.
I bet we’ll eventually see EU regulation for smart home services just as they did for USB C. The ecosystem is shocking.
I bought the battery 2k doorbell for my dad who is disabled and mobility is challenging for him so I thought this be a great help. After installing I am pretty disappointed to say the least as far the “Google integration” is concerned. I just can’t understand, that all we can do is stream video by issuing a assistant command. No video popup when doorbell is rung nor anyway to talk as well via Google home display device. Unfortunately after reading this thread it seems there probably is no update in the future so I will have to return this as it does not help my dad at all. Really sad to be honest because it is a very good product but is being completely limited. But really should relabel box so that shoppers know that it works with Google but limited to video only on command…

You should be able to get auto video prompt when the doorbell is hit and response capabilities on a Google nest hub. Why pretend you work with Google when the best you can do is ask to view the cam and nothing else works.

I just bought this Eufy wired doorbell on the basis that it could use Google Home to chime, but I’m really disappointed that it can’t. Very misleading Eufy.
