You can have a hybrid POE cam by using one of the indoor 2k cams and a POE to 5 Volt adapter on your network cable. Still connects via wifi but is powered by your POE switch.
I am using this setup on a couple of battery cams. I just turn on POE when I want to charge and monitor the charge manually to prevent overcharging. Eventually, when the attic temps allow me to finish pulling more cat6, I will have all my cams on this setup. No moe climbing ladders and if I decide to use a pure POE cam, all I have to do is plug it in.
That sounds ok but is too much hassle compared to a true POE system.
