The Magic of Automatic Locking! | Unlock the power of eufy Smart Lock

Hi, eufy fans,

Have you ever encountered the following embarrassing situation?

 You’re in a rush. You woke up late for work and are scrambling to get ready. In your panic, as you leave your home trying in vain to secure your tie in place with just one hand, you forget to lock your front door.

:face_with_symbols_over_mouth: You finally arrive at work, only to realize you left your home completely unlocked and vulnerable. Embarrassed and panicking, you make your excuses and head back home, your boss chastising you for wasting time.

Many of us have faced this kind of situation in the past, with our minds racing through a whole manner of terrible situations.

That’s why we’ve fitted our brand-new Smart Lock with Auto-lock, to save you from the embarrassment and anxiety that comes from forgetting to lock your door. :cowboy_hat_face:

What is Auto-Lock?

Autolock is a feature built into our Smart Lock that automatically locks your door when it is closed.:door: It’s quick, secure, and completely automatic, so you’ll never have to worry about leaving your door unlocked ever again.

How Does It Work?

When the built-in sensor detects that your door is in a fixed closed position, it will trigger Smart Lock to automatically lock your door.

Besides, we have an automatic lock protection logic. When the user opens the door for a long time for more than 3 minutes, for the sake of power considerations, it will be automatically locked after 3 minutes.

Troubleshooting Auto-Lock

In case you encounter some problems with Smart Lock’s Auto-Lock feature, here are some simple tips you can use to try and fix the problem:

  • Recalibrate the lock geomagnetism via the eufy Security App after you have closed the door. The setting method can be easily found in “Setting-> Lock calibration”.

That looks perfect for me. Will it unlock automatically if my phone is next to it? And will it not auto lock if the door is open?

For mobile phone unlocking, it is currently necessary to open the APP to unlock.
  • And will it not auto lock if the door is open?
Automatic locking will only start when the door is closed.

No door lock from eufy should ever be on a door without 2FA. Period.

What if you are running late, and after you leave, the door locks automatically, and then you realize that you left your cell phone in the house with the app for opening the door and you don’t have the key. Then you are locked out! That’s worse than forgetting to lock the door.
